Your Monday Evening Briefing
By ANDREA KANNAPELL AND SANDRA STEVENSON

His popularity enhanced by a willingness to entertain juicy conspiracy theories, Mr. Trump is the most likely beneficiary of a streamlined Republican process that heavily favors the front- runner. Marco Rubio's backers condemned Mr. Trump for failing to condemn white supremacists, while European newspapers and magazines tracked his rise, mostly registering shock and outrage.
2. Bernie Sanders told supporters in Minneapolis that they could "make history," while Hillary Clinton, whose campaign has begun to strategize for the possibility of a Trump nomination, jabbed at his slogan, "Make America Great Again," at a buoyant rally in Boston. "America never stopped being great, we need to make it whole again," she said. A Times special report examines Mrs. Clinton's decisive role in the U.S. bombing of Libya in 2011, which helped remove a brutal dictator but left a failed state and a haven for Islamist terrorists.
