Trump Suggests Pro-Gun Supporters Could Act Against Clinton
At least he's read part of the constitution. Donald Trump caused fresh outrage by saying if Hillary Clinton wins and appoints gun control-loving judges: "Nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is." In what has become a cycle of outlandish remarks that Trump claims were jokes or taken out of context, the GOP nominee later said he was talking about gun lovers' political sway, not inciting assassination. The Secret Service, which protects both candidates, said only that it was "aware" of the comments.

Brazil's Senate Votes to Put Suspended President on Trial
She's one step closer to the door. Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff has already been suspended from office, and now the country's upper house has voted 59 to 21 in favor of continuing with impeachment proceedings over alleged budgetary corruption. That means that two weeks from now, just a few days after the end of the Olympic Games, Rousseff will have a five-day trial - and a two-thirds majority could remove her from office, leaving current interim president Michel Temer in power until 2018's elections.

Leak Reveals Child Abuse on Australia's Refugee Island
It's a question of human rights. Those who seek refuge in Australia find themselves offloaded to detention camps on nearby islands like Nauru, a policy reportedly aimed at deterring would-be refugees. But thousands of leaked incident reports are illustrating the scale of alleged abuses that have taken place at the Nauru camp, including sexual assault and child abuse. A recent Amnesty International report found that such treatment appeared to be a "deliberate policy." The Australian government says it's "reviewing" the documents, but has labeled many of the incident reports as "unconfirmed allegations."

Britain's Post-Brexit Bond-Buying Program Founders
They wish they knew how to quit EU. But Brexit'll be a long road, warns Uffe Ellemann-Jensen, who negotiated Greenland's exit from the EU 31 years ago and who says the two-year negotiation process just isn't long enough for the UK to strike a deal. Meanwhile, Bank of England head Mark Carney's embarked on a $1.53 billion bond-buying program meant to boost the freefalling U.K. economy, but could only get weakening pension funds to part with $1.46 billion, which many are taking as a bad sign for Britain's financial future.

Briefly
Know This: The meal supplement companies are coming for your coffee now. Paul Ryan's held on to his place at the table despite a primary challenge. Who the heck is this little kid Olympian?
Look at This: Here's a photo of kids in a Kenyan refugee camp watching the Refugee Olympic Team.
Remember This: 27 percent. That's how much the number of job vacancies in London's financial sector has decreased year-on-year, a slide many are blaming on the prospect of Brexit.

U.S. Gymnastic Team Vaults to Gold, Phelps Gets No. 21
Their record won't tumble anytime soon. Simone Biles and her cohorts so thoroughly dominated the team competition that the scoring gap between the U.S. and second-place Russia was double the points between between Russia and last place Brazil. Meanwhile, Michael Phelps reached a record-obliterating 21 career gold medals, after winning two yesterday, while Katie Ledecky took her second Rio gold swimming the 200 freestyle. That's nine golds so far for Team USA - and Biles is expected to pick up at least three more in individual events.

Drone Racing's Boom Is Going Mainstream
Start your engines - and hone your fine motor skills. Over the past four years, drone racing has gradually built up a stable of established local, national and international events. Crowds turn out to see tricked-out custom drones navigate obstacle courses at up to 80 mph, with pilots using virtual reality goggles to get a drone's-eye view. But it's not easy to spot the little buzzers moving at high speed - for now. With ESPN having streamed the recent National Drone Racing Championship, we might soon be seeing the sport enter the big leagues.

Is the Delivery Industry the Next to Be Disrupted?
Has someone given you something to bring on board? The answer may soon be "yes," as a fleet of startups is emerging in peer-to-peer delivery - allowing travelers to make a few bucks by bringing something on a journey they were already making, and offering customers cheaper shipping. The industry is growing quickly, but must grapple with security concerns while it tries to scale up. Entrenched companies like UPS are slowly starting to shift their ways, but analysts say logistics is overdue for a major disruption.

'SNL' Cast Sees Election Year Upheaval
Do comedians have term limits? As it dives into a high-stakes campaign season, Saturday Night Live has dumped fixtures Jay Pharoah (with his spot-on President Obama impression) and Taran Killam, along with featured player Jon Rudnitsky - all without explanation. Its best moments last season came from guest spots - think Larry David as Bernie Sanders or Darrell Hammond as Donald Trump. With no real breakout stars aside from Kate McKinnon - who does a worthy Hillary Clinton - producer Lorne Michaels opted for a shakeup heading into September's 42nd season debut.

Who's Making Money Off the Olympics? Not Olympians
The road to Rio may be paved with gold medals, but not actual gold. In fact, some Olympics-bound athletes rely on monthly stipends of just $400 to make a living off their sport, and some had to crowdfund to get to the Games. The US has been criticized for not supporting its Olympians, given that many other countries subsidize equipment, training and travel. Even if they bring home the gold, athletes may face money woes at home - unless they win consistently like Michael Phelps, who's worth an estimated $55 million.
